Internet Marketing Articles - How Do You Overcome The One Part of Writing That You Can't Do Yourself

If you haven't heard, Article Marketing is, if not number one, is one of the top three best ways to get targeted traffic to your _____. Where the blank is, fill in whatever it is that you are trying to drive traffic to. This means, that you need to learn about article marketing if you want to be successful online.

Don't worry, there is plenty of good information available to teach you everything you need to know to get started with this form of marketing. If you just read articles on article directories about article marketing, you can learn the basics in a hurry. This is a good way to start and it will give you some good information to help you evaluate some of the different products out there.

You may want to invest in some eBooks to start to learn some of the finer points of this craft that will help you continue to improve on your efforts and therefore help you continue to get better results. One of the keys to success online is to get more, *better results,* for less, *less time effort and money.* This is done by tracking, testing, and always trying to improve anything you are doing online.

As you begin, and even after you have been doing this for some time, there is one thing that you will always need help with. That is proofing your articles. If your articles are good, it won't matter if they are riddled with spelling and grammar errors. You articles must be proofed and corrected.
Sit down right now, and make a list of three people who you know have done some writing. Someone you know that can spell and has or understands grammar. Then ask them to proof your articles for you. Remember, this person is doing you a favor, so figure out a way to return the favor.

Internet Marketing Articles - Slow Down, Step Back, and Take a Deep Breath - Then Question

I guess one of the reasons that I love article marketing so much is that it helped me to stop and think a little about the many online business opportunities that I was looking at. It's as simple as this, when you write, you have to stop and think about what you are going to say. This forces you to look at it more objectively.

Objectively speaking, it doesn't take long, before you find it hard to write anything at all if you're not really on board in the first place. It takes even less time if you don't really understand how the marketing or compensation plans actually work. I recently read an email that reminded me of some things I had written when I built my first website.

I had just interviewed over one hundred people that were looking for or had just started a home based business and I was a little disappointed at how, I am not sure of the best way to say this, misinformed all of these people were. I decided to try to write a guide that might help other people get a little better understanding of the basics of business.
Anyway, the email I just read contained a series of questions that I think do a better job than anything I tried to write. So I thought I would share the questions with you -- hoping they might help you make an informed decision about any online business opportunity you might be looking at.
Is the business you are considering delivering a real product or service?

Does the product or service help people achieve meaningful goals?

Do you understand how the business works? (The marketing, the compensation)

Can you explain the business to your best friend easily and be comfortable?

WOULD you share the business with your best friend and still be friends afterwards?

If you answered yes to all of these questions you may have the beginnings of a real business.

If not, run.

I want to thank Charlie P. for the questions, and the inspiration.

Internet Marketing Articles - This is How to Have Real Influence

Have you ever been able to get something for nothing? Some might say, "Yes, I have received gifts from people and that was something for nothing." Others might say, "I found ten dollars once, and that was something for nothing." Another example that might come to mind is when a person steals something. You might argue that they got something for nothing. I want you to really think about this for a moment. Do you ever really get something for nothing?

I think it is probably a matter of perspective. If you look at a single moment in time, it could appear that it is indeed possible to get something for nothing. But, if you look at it from the perspective of your lifetime, and what brings real value to your life, I think it doesn't take much effort of thought to realize that we don't ever really get anything of value for nothing.

Still have some doubts? Let me add this then: sometimes the price we pay is before we receive something, and sometimes the price is afterwards.

The reason that I write this is because I am often amazed at the endless supply of headlines that promise something for nothing. I guess the thing that amazes me about these headlines is that they would not be so prevalent if they were not successful. I guess I shouldn't be so surprised; the truth is that I have spent most of my own life looking for some magic pill of a sort.

I guess that is why article marketing has such appeal to me now. I hope I have finally given up on the idea of the magic pill. I am more interested in what I can grow and develop. I see article marketing as the type of business opportunity that I can use to not only build and develop my business, but myself.

Internet Article Marketing - Follow What You Love - Or at Least Find Something that Interests You

Is it possible to write about any topic and then convert those readers into traffic and customers that you get credit for? If I am going to be completely honest, it may not be possible to write about any topic, but you might be surprised how, with a little research, you can develop your interests into real business opportunities.

Have you gotten the, *Make money online bug?* Let me be the first to inform you, this disease is fatal. If you could see my face right now, you would see that I am not smiling. The worst part of this fatal disease is that it is a long and painful death with moments of remission that give you a little hope: but don't be fooled, it is just another way it prolongs the agony. Now I am smiling.

Want to build a business online and not die from this disease. Then focus on what I wrote in the first paragraph. Forget all the hype and the buzz, and think about who you are and what kinds of things you have an interest in. First, make a list of 5 words, or phrases (two to four words) that are unique to your topic of interest. Then, go to a Google search page and type in, *keyword tool.* Click on the first listing, and then in the keyword tool, type in your first keyword.

What you will get is a list of hundreds of keywords that others have done searches on related your original 5 words. Make a list of 30 to 50 that make sense to you, fit the topic, and don't use the ones that are twisted up and don't make sense anymore. After you have made your list, do a search for the words, "article directory." You will find a lot of them. Use your judgment and pick which ones you think are the top 3 or 4. Go to these directory sites, you are looking for the ones that allow you to do searches limited to articles within their site.

Do searches on these directories for articles that have been written on your topic of interest. Click on the links at the bottom of these articles. You will find products and services for sale there. Pick a few that make sense to you and seem to be a logical fit for the subject you are going to start to write articles about. Once you have found some products or services that you think are a fit for you and your topic of interest, then go to those sites and see what it takes to sign up as an affiliate for those companies.

First, read the terms of service for those directories so you submit your articles correctly, and then start writing and submitting articles to your list of 3 or 4 article directory sites. If you have made it this far, now you can look into starting a website or a blog and what it will take to pull the rest of the pieces together. Just remember to stick with article marketing as your primary form of marketing. At least now you are not being tossed to and fro by every hype ad, you are working on building something that really interests you. Believe me, you are way ahead of the crowd at this point.

Internet Marketing Articles - Writing These Articles Can Teach You a Lot About Yourself

Article marketing has the potential of changing your life forever. Nothing like starting out with a statement that can knock your socks off. I do believe this is true. I dismissed article marketing when I was first introduced to the idea. There were several aspects of it that I thought just did not make sense: the first of which was that you could take other articles and just change a few words and make them your own. I could see right away, that this type of thing would have no value.

The idea was presented to me again at a later point, and by now I had heard enough times what a great way it was to promote your business, and how inexpensive it was that I thought I would give it a try. I started by submitting 10 articles. All 10 of my articles were rejected, and had to be rewritten or fixed two or three times before I got them submitted: needless to say, this took considerable time and effort.

The funny thing was that this did not discourage me; it actually convinced me that article marketing was indeed a legitimate form of Internet marketing. Simply stated, if it took this much effort to get my article submitted to the top article directory, then the other articles being submitted had to be at least this good and more likely, better.

I guess what I am saying is that unlike what I had thought originally, articles could be a valuable resource for readers, therefore they were a legitimate source of information, meaning they would actually be read by people looking for information.

What I concluded from all of this is article marketing attracts a very real group of potential prospects to be targeted; therefore, if I was to master the skills and become an expert article marketer, I could build a very solid business and career online. This means you can too.

Internet Article Marketing - Why Is It Better? Here's The Simple Mathematics

Are you trying to make money online? Whether you have products of your own, or you are trying to make money selling affiliate products, article marketing is a sure way to drive targeted traffic to your site. It's simple really, the more articles that you write, the more traffic you are going to get. We know that article marketing's natural selective process prequalifies your prospects. The prospect is qualified, simply because as they choose to progress toward your site, each step indicates an increase in their level of interest.

There is a limited number of ways that a person can come across your article. One, they could just stumble across it by chance. Two, they could find your article listed on a page of a search engine. Three, they could be sent or directed to the article by an ezine or RSS (Real Simple Syndication): some type of subscription or update notification.

Regardless of how they come across the article, it requires some level of choice to read the article, and even more if they finish reading the article. Let's call this qualification number one. They say that of the people who read the article, one to three percent chooses to click the link and visit the website or blog. We'll call this qualification level number two.

After going through the information on your site, this is qualification number three; five to 15 percent of these visitors will make a purchase if you have a decent sales letter and follow up system. This is much better than the one to five percent of people that buy after arriving at your site being lead by some other form of marketing. Thus the reason that article marketing is considered one of the most effective forms of marketing on the Internet.

Internet Marketing Articles - Warning! The Internet May Cause Attention Deficit Disorder

Focus, focus, focus, the Internet seems to have plenty of distraction. Here something that I have learned through experience, but it has cost me. This little tip can bring a big boost to your future.
I love article marketing. One of the things that I love the most about it is that it is one of the most reliable methods of Internet marketing that continues to prove itself over and over again. I don't think there is a better way to spend your time marketing than to be generating new articles. More articles equal more traffic. Not just more traffic, but traffic that is more highly qualified than any other method.

I received an email today from one of the many lists that I subscribe to that describes the new viral way of driving traffic to your website. It starts out, "Dear Friend, Are you interested in a brand new way to increase the traffic to any website for about 5 minutes easy 'work'?" First of all, it takes more than 5 minutes to read the sales letter which is 10 pages and a video long.

I have tried hundreds of these. I am not necessarily pointing a finger at this one, but the bottom line is, if I had spent every second wasted on the hundreds of these I have read, writing articles, I would be retired by now.

I once thought that subscribing to everything was a good thing, because it has taught me so much about all of the different options available on the Internet. Now I am rethinking this because in retrospect, I think it has continued to be more of a distraction than anything.

Internet Marketing Articles - Do You Want Your Articles to Go Viral? Here Are Two Things to Consider

Article marketing continues to be one of the most effective ways to drive targeted traffic to your landing page of choice. Of all the things people can read on the Internet, if someone chooses your article, and then makes a second choice to click on your link to learn more, they are about the best you can hope for when it comes to finding targeted traffic.

Now if you take this effect and you can multiply it, you will receive compounded returns on your investment. This happens when your articles are copied and used on other sites, or are published in ezines. This is sometimes referred to as the viral effect. This is one of the things that you hope will happen to your articles when you publish them on article directories.

There are two things you may want to consider when trying to achieve this desired effect. One: does what you're distributing really have significant value to a large group of people? If the answer is no, you are not going to see the results that some of the legends of the Internet have achieved using this method. An example might be Mozilla Firefox or Netscape.

The second thing you have to consider as it relates specifically to article marketing is: do your articles meet some of the minimum specifications that are usually required by publishers that reuse articles? Let's use this article as an example. This article is good for distribution to article directories, and will be used by a few people, but it simply is not a good candid for getting picked up by ezine publishers.

When an ezine publisher is looking for a feature article, one of the things they are looking for is something that is very well written with some significant substantive information. If it is well written with little or no fluff or hype, they would like this to be between 800 and 1500 words long. That means, even if this article was written perfectly, which I don't expect it is, it will not even be considered by most major ezine publishers.

What you should learn from this is that a significant viral reaction to your work is not going to happen by accident. I admit it is very hard to predict when it will. But, I can assure you that if certain minimum requirements aren't met, you can be sure you are not even in the running. This all relates to knowing what your goal for this particular article is before you write it.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - The Internet is One Place Where Discrimination is Good

I am not the brightest star in the sky by any stretch of the imagination. But I don't have to be to figure out that after I have read a few of someone's articles, I get a pretty good idea of whether or not this is the kind of person with whom I choose to do business. This is another one of the reasons that I like article marketing so much. It really gives me a chance to discriminate as to who my business partners will be.

Of course, it gives you that same chance to share who you really are with people who might want to do business with you. There are several aspects of your articles that act as "tells" when writing your articles. For example, is the content consistent with the title? This may seem like a little thing, but when someone is trying to decide if you are someone they can trust, and you start out with a little lie, it is not going to take many of these before someone decides you may not be worth the risk.

Article marketing is a great way for you to develop a body of content and have it spread all over the Internet giving thousands of people a chance to learn about you and see if you are the person that might be able to help them solve a problem, accomplish a goal or get something they want. All you have to do if you want to be successful, is share a little of yourself, be honest, and give them some real value from the first look. Let them discover something new, something useful, something of real value in every article. Give people a chance to reverse discriminate towards you.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

You, Search Engines, Article Directories and Web Masters, Everybody Wins!

The point of Internet marketing articles is that not all traffic is created equal. Let's be honest, there's traffic and then there's, "targeted traffic." You hear it again and again, no matter how great your website is or how amazing your product is, you are not going to start to have a high volume of sales until you can get a high volume of traffic to your site.

Like many things that you hear online that are repeated over and over again, this is true. But, also like most things you here on the internet, there is more to the story than is revealed by these numerous and usually free resources. This is one of those cases. Let's start a more thorough explanation by examining a simple scenario.

In this scenario we'll imagine you were going to set up a cart on a street corner and you wanted to sell something - maybe a particular type of drink. In this example you decided to sell a drink with ingredients that were designed to support healthier living. It had a fruity taste and was made with a special formula to help your body better replace fluids, and provided powerful antioxidants.

When you first decide to get into this business you think, this should be easy enough, everyone needs to drink fluids, and this one not only has a better formula for the main reason to drink fluids, to replace fluids in your body, it has an added value of helping your body with antioxidants. So you decide to put a sign on the front of the cart that explains this benefit.

At this point, you think there is only one thing left to do and that is to place my cart where there is a really high volume of people passing by, and then I am going to be Rich. Rich. Rich...

So you think to yourself, where would be a really good place for me and my cart to begin. After you think about it for a while, you remember that every morning and every evening right outside the entry way to the train station there are hundreds of people passing by on their way to work and then coming home from work in the evening. So you decided to setup your cart 20 feet away from the entry way.

After a week of standing outside the train station, you are very disappointed. Even though you had hundreds maybe even thousands of people walk by your cart, you had only sold two cases of your drink. At this rate you are never going to be rich, so you decide that you are going to go down to the park at lunch time and see if some of the people who go to the park for lunch will buy your drink.

After another whole week, mornings and evenings at the train station, and afternoons at the park, you have still sold very little of your drink product. But, on Thursday and Friday at the park you notice banners and flyers posted everywhere for a big event in the park on Saturday that is going to include a 10K run in the afternoon, and have a running expo afterwards. So you decide to show up there with your cart.

Saturday morning you show up bright and early, and right off the bat, you sell 4 cases even before the race begins. You have to make a quick trip home to get some more cases and by 1:30, you have sold another 10 cases. After another trip home to get more cases, and by the end of the day, you have sold 18 cases of your drink.

At this point, you are probably wondering what this article has to do with using Internet marketing articles. Well, it's simple really. As you could see from the example above, where you put your cart, in relation to the type of traffic that walked by made all the difference in how much product you were able to sell.

This is true with your website too. Your success will depend on your ability to attract qualified targeted traffic to your website. Just like it did not matter how many people walked by the cart when it was at the train station, because the people had no interest in your product, having thousands of people visit your website won't matter if they have no interest in your products or services.

The key is to find the traffic that is predisposed to buy your product. Just like in the example above, where we found that the people at the sporting event at the park were predisposed to buy a drink that was healthier.

So, how do you do this on the Internet? Similarly to the sporting event, you know that the people who might be most interested in buying your drink will be looking for information on health products, sporting events, or health information like info on antioxidants. Again you might ask, what does this have to do with articles?

I am glad you asked. First, you write and submit articles to authority sites, sites that are known to have information on sporting events, or health tips. There are two keys to this. First, they have to have keywords related to these topics so when they get indexed by the search engines, they will guide people doing searches for these topics to these articles. Second, they have to have a signature box at the bottom that leads people back to your website.

Remember, this is a simplified explanation to help you get a basic understanding of the relationship between keywords, search engines, and getting targeted traffic.

So let's walk through the steps of how a qualified targeted prospect makes her way to your site. First, she hears about antioxidants on the radio and how they decrease the effects of aging on her body. She likes this because she is a runner, and is interested in keeping herself in shape and looking good.

She decided to see if she can get more information on the Internet, so she typed in the word antioxidants in the box on her favorite search engine and up come the first 10 listings, with 8 ad listings on the right. The third article down is your article titled, "Antioxidant, 3 easy ways to improve your body's ability to wash way aging." She clicks on this article, and reads about certain foods that support your body's ability to isolate and remove oxidants.

She is quite excited that there is a simple way to combat her concern, and then she reads in the signature box at the end of the article, "Like to try a great tasting drink that contains X, well know for increasing your body's ability to reduce oxidants? Click here now to find out more. I say that's a targeted customer wouldn't you?

Let's give a brief synopsis. You are looking for a way to bring prequalified targeted traffic to your website. Whatever your product or service is, you should be able to identify a targeted lead by some area of interest that they are very likely to have. Within that area of interest there are certain words that are specific to that topic. These words are called keywords on the Internet.

What this tells you is that a person doing a search for a particular keyword is also likely to have an interest in products and services related to or similar to that topic. Like, the keyword, "antioxidants" is likely to be searched for by a person interested in health and beauty information, products or services.

Article directories depend on people who are willing to submit articles for them to be able to continue to add and offer fresh relevant content on their sites. Because they are able to do this, the search engines like to keep a close eye on them and index their new articles quickly so they can provide good relevant information to their customers who perform searches to get information they are looking for.

The directories have to offer something in exchange to entice people to submit articles to their sites for free. What they offer is to let the author submit their articles with a signature box at the bottom of the article that the author can promote themselves and have active links back to their website.

This system of looking for, finding, providing and publishing information in the form of articles can be used by businesses to find qualified targeted traffic to their websites and business. Everybody wins: the customer, the search engines, the directories, and the website owner trying to sell his or her products or services.

In conclusion: If you want to find and attract prequalified targeted customers to your website, blog or ezine, the best way to do this is to identify topics of interest that your ideal customer is likely to have. Having identified these topics, research and find keywords that they will use to find this information on the Internet. Once you have a list of keywords, write useful articles using these keywords, information that your ideal customer will find useful and relevant. Then publish these articles in places where they can be found and indexed by the search engines, making them easy to find for your ideal customers: places like article directories. Don't forget to have an enticing resource box at the end of the article with links back to your website. Don't the readers of these articles embody the very definition of targeted traffic? This simple system of article marketing will provide this targeted traffic consistently over a long period of time too.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - Have You Ever Heard of PRE-Selling? Probably Not Like This!

Article marketing is said to be one of the absolute best ways to get the most highly targeted traffic to your website. If you haven't heard this yet, you will be hearing this again. Want to know something that will really help you be effective when writing Internet marketing articles? Don't write about your product or services!

Most of you haven't heard that before. Then why would I write articles you might ask? Simple, to passively introduce yourself using a concept called PREselling to find people that have an interest in topics related to your products or services so that when they do need or want to look at some specific information, you have already shown them that you are credible and capable of giving an unbiased opinion.

It's a simple strategy really, even though it is grossly underutilized. Your information or topic should cast a wider net than your products or services do. What I mean is, if you write an interesting article on where to place your tent so you don't get caught in a flash flood while you are sleeping, and then throw in 4 helpful tips on cleaning and storing your tent after use, that will cast a pretty broad net from someone that might be a serious camper to a back yard camper who just wants to store his tent properly.

When they get to your resource box, it is best to keep with this same strategy. Saying something to the effect of "For other useful tips and little known camping strategies visit our web site," and then give the link. Even when your reader gets to your website you don't pounce on them. Here you will have great content and useful information too.

In this case, let's say you have affiliate agreements with manufactures of all different types of camping gear. Instead of having big ads all through your content, a more effective method is to create pages on your site where you do multiple product reviews. For example, a compass review page where you took the top 5 compasses and reviewed them to help your potential customers find just the right compass for their particular needs.

This is the ideal way to use article marketing and the PREsell process to drive highly targeted traffic to your affiliate links which people can use to buy products in which you get paid for the marketing. Have you ever thought you could be more successful by being less pushy?

Let's look at this from the reader's perspective once. How many people do you think are out looking for compasses? Not very many. But if they are, let's say you get your 1% of them to come to you and buy a compass by paying for ads and not using the PREsell process. In contrast, by using the PREsell technique outlined above, you get your 1% plus. Let me give you an example of someone you would not have gotten if you had just written about compasses.

I am a father that is working with my son on merit badges. This last Saturday we camped out in the back yard for the first time. I wasn't quite sure how to take care of the tent so I did a search online to see what I could find. I ran across your article, and was glad to find just what I was looking for, a quick tip on cleaning and storing my new tent.

On the bottom, I see in the resource box, that your site provides other useful tips and strategies that I might need in the future. I go to your website to take a quick look and see what other info I might find useful. While reading another article, I see a link that I can read a review on 5 different compasses. This is cool, because I knew I needed to buy a compass for me and my son for scouts.

If there would have just been an ad, I would have read it and still taken some time to look at a few more ads to try and learn some more information before I bought anything. But after reading all 5 reviews, I could see exactly why one of them was just perfect for what I would need.

I was sure glad there was a link right there so I could just order that one, get what I needed, and not have to spend any more time on it.

This is the power of PREsell. Never would the reader put up their guard, because no one was every saying, hey look at me, I am the best - want to buy me? Which would put up anyone's guard. Instead, I provided the reader with the information that they needed to follow the natural course of how most people make a buying decision without any hype or pushiness.

What if the text links strategically placed throughout your site lead your readers to a page that had 8 links on it, each to a review of 5 different brands of the same type of products? Check out our review on 5 different flashlights. Check out our review on 5 different fishing poles. Check out our review on 5 different knives. None of these things were sold in your article, but all would be perfect fits for your readers.

Maybe you have affiliate agreements for all 5 products maybe you don't. But in either case, you have created an environment where your reader can buy what they need without ever having to feel pushed, threatened and defensively putting their guard up. I think you get the idea. This is article marketing utilizing PREselling at its best.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - A Dirty Little Secret That Took Me 4 Months Intensive Research to Find

When you start writing Internet marketing articles, you hear about the many different advantages to publishing your articles in article directories. I would like to discuses one of these advantages of article marketing: that is the multiplying effect of publishing your articles that comes as a result of other people using your articles on their websites, blogs, and ezines. This is called article syndication.

It's not hard to imagine the up side of every time you publish one of your articles it gets republished on other sites that you otherwise would not have had access to, or even know about, opening up your reach to new readers you otherwise might not have had access to. This is called the viral effect.

Like I said, looking at the two points above, it soon becomes pretty obvious why article marketing is so highly acclaimed as one of the best forms of marketing on the internet. This alone should be enough to get you started on the path of adding this to your arsenal of marketing mediums.

So then, why is your radar telling you that there is a "but" coming? Because, your radar is pretty darn good, that's why. You see, there is the fine print on this form of advertising that very few people know about, and that is why you won't hear very much about the details of how to really get the full effect of your articles almost anywhere else.

First, let's describe an ideal circumstance that might arise from your article marketing. An Ideal circumstance might be that a blog or an ezine publisher or both with a very strong and loyal audience might really like one of your articles and decide to use it because they think it will bring value to their readers.

Wow, that would be so awesome. This is the kind of thing that can get one article read by tens of thousands of targeted readers in one month.

So what's the problem? The problem is that this is probably never going to happen to you. Why is that you ask? Simple really, let's take the Ezine for example: this ezine is looking for 800 to 1200 word articles. Why is that a problem? Because the article directories are telling you that you should be writing 250 to 500 word articles.

What does that mean? It means if you have been writing articles in a format that makes directories happy, you are not writing articles that are very likely to be featured in one of the established ezines. In other words, these ezines are not even considering your articles because they are too short.

Are there other things? Yes, about 6 of them. Can you give me one more example? Many ezine publishers think about 300 to 500 character signature boxes with one link are a fair exchange for the use of your article. They think that two or more links, is taking advantage of them, in other words they don't think it's a fair exchange. That means that 1000 character 3 link SIG you have after your articles published on the directories, are knocking you out of the consideration. Ouch!

Don't worry, the good news is, you can publish hundreds of 300 word articles and make a great living just publishing with the directories. But, if you want to really start hitting them out of the park, you have to dig a little deeper, work a little harder and get a lot better. Think your up to it?

Internet Marketing Articles - Write Perfect Articles and Still End Up With Nothing to Show for it?

Article marketing is amazing, it's glorious, it's the Holy Grail, it's the fountain of youth, it's the ultimate...

I think you get the point. Guess what? Article marketing is only as good as the weakest link in the chain of steps in your marketing process.

You'll hear how important the title is, how if you don't write a title that catches the eye of your readers, or entices them to want to read more, no one will read your articles.

Then you will hear how you have to write a quality article, because if the reader falls asleep in the middle of your article, they will never get to the resource box and find out how to get to your website.

Also, we are reminded over and over how if you don't have a call to action in your resource box, your reader will forget that they want more information and they won't click the link to your website.

Oh, I almost forgot, you have to have keyword rich content.

Little did we know that it was the search engines not Sky Net that started thinking for itself, which resulted in the building of Terminators, because too many people were writing articles just for humans and not doing their part to keep search engines happy by providing "keyword" rich content.

I guess, what I am trying to say is, I would rather have 500 mediocre articles with so-so titles, and ok resource boxes with half the number of keywords that I should have than 1000 perfect articles written by an article marketing god if the 500 went to a page that captured the names and emails of the readers, and the 1000 went to a crappy website, or worse, an affiliate link.
Can you imagine how much more opportunity you have to market to that hard earned prospect if you get their name and email address, then if they click through and decides not to buy something today?

Do you think cliché sayings like, "The money is in the list" get started because there is no truth found in these statements? Let me be the one to inform you otherwise. The "money" IS in the "list."

Just use a little common sense, if I offered you one chance to sell me your product or, I offered you 10 opportunities to sell me your product, which would your prefer? This is, by the way, a rhetorical question.

All I am trying to say is, if you want to become the legend of article marketing, the guy or gal that goes down in history as the first household in the world with its own Gross National Product, capture the names and emails of the people who click on the links in your resource box.

This will generate more opportunity than just about anything else you do. Let me just finish with one little example that might be the thing that fills your ears with the sounds of perpetual cash register rings. What if you just asked everyone who gives you their name and email address, why they clicked your link? What were they looking for? Then do something really crazy, give it to them.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - Mistakes 90% of New Authors Make - Do You Want Success or Failure?

Are you new to Internet marketing? Have you just started to discover article directories? By now, you have probably heard about this cost effective way of generating targeted traffic to your website or blog. I am here to tell you, that spending some time and mastering this technique can be very lucrative.

One of the first things you should do is read the rules. These are usually referred to as the, *Authors Terms of Service.* The best article directories have real people read and approve every article before they publish it. There are two important advantages to knowing the rules.

One, you don't waste your time. If you submit an article and it gets rejected, you'll have to redo parts of it one or more times. You have just wasted a bunch of time - time you could have written another article with, or just taken the rest of the day off. It probably won't take long to get discouraged if you are having these types of problems.

Two, there are levels of membership with some of the better article directories. How they determine if you are ready to achieve the next level of membership is by the quality of your articles. In part this is determined by whether or not your articles are written within the guidelines of the directory. In other words, if you have to submit your articles more than once, you are probably not ready to achieve the next level.

By the way, the higher levels of membership receive more privileges. Your articles get approved faster; you can submit more articles, and a few more things. The other advantage of achieving higher levels is that it adds to your perceived level of authority. If your reader knows they are reading an article from a Premier level Expert Author, it adds to their perception of your credentials.

Hey, every little bit helps. Remember, it is the little things that make a big difference in the long run. The more articles you write the more impact your articles have. This means more targeted traffic and more customers. By the end of the year, if you have written 150 articles and I have written 500, who do you think is going to have the best results? Learn the rules, save time and improve your confidence.

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - What Can We Learn From Penny at Playboy - Cubic Zirconia, or Real?

I have decided to read all the articles in the article marketing category and create a top 10 list. One thing that really stands out, as I read through the articles, profiles, and click the links, is how much we can learn about the author by his or her profile and the articles that they write.

Even their links tell us a little about them.

I came across a website today that I found from an article, and it was for a site that sold cubic zirconia jewelry. The host on the site said that she use to be under the employ of Play Boy. I thought it was funny how her looks, her previous experience, and her current business venture seem to follow a common theme.

After reading a few more articles, a few more profiles, and clicking on a few more links, I realized that many of the packages put together in this process, paint an interesting picture of the different authors. Of course that opens up the question, what does your profile, articles, and links tell about you?

I know for me, it is a work in progress. I am sure for all of us it is to some degree. I would have to say that finding just the right formula for the three parts has been a lot harder than I thought. I have observed from my reading, that is it easier for some, and harder for others.

I will say that it is usually pretty easy to identify who the pretenders are and who the real professionals are. If you are still looking for the right combination for your business, don't give up.

I have found that writing articles is the best way for me to keep polishing my stone. Every once in a while, I see an increase in my number of views, or in my click thoughts, and I think, that's progress, I just need to keep learning and writing.

Just so you know it is normal when you start to get visitors in the tens. As you progress, you will start to get them in the 100's. One day you will start to get visitors in the thousands. This is where the game begins. Not only will you start to make some money, but you are one step away from big things.

I don't like the fact that people seldom share real numbers. This makes it hard for beginners because they don't know when what they are doing is good and what is great. I hope you find this information helpful.

The reason this is so predictable, is because this continues to be one of the most effective ways to market your product or service on the Internet. I think there can be more benefits to article marketing then I read in the hundreds of article that I have read to date.

One of the main points of Internet article marketing that I think is over looked is what you learn by going through the process of writing articles. If you think about it, if you are taking the time to do the research to learn about a topic, you are probably learning something new about it as well. Already, you have benefited from the process of writing articles in a way that is seldom talked about. It turns out that this can still have even more benefit than this.

As explained above, the key to maximizing your efforts is to do the research, and then write several articles based on what you have learned so you get the greatest benefit from your. Now, Let say you go through this process again to get some fresh information on the same topic, so you can write 5 more articles. Now you have learned more than the average person on the topic and you are almost an expert.

If you were to do this 3, 4 or even 5 times, you would have 25 articles, written very quickly, and not only that, but you have also moved yourself in to the category of expert on the topic. And, you have enough written material to easily create an information product. You could either use this to sell and make money, or you could use it as a giveaway gaining the viral effect of having it being downloaded and distributed for free all over the world as the word of its information and value spread.

Internet Marketing Articles - Write More Articles Faster, and End Up With an Information Product

Internet article marketing continues to be one of the most effective ways to get traffic to your website. Not just traffic, but traffic that has prequalified itself by exercising their freedom of choice to read an article written by you on a topic related to your products and services.

One of the biggest problems with Internet Article marketing is that most people don't compound their efforts so they end up getting considerably less return as they go about trying to produce articles. This can be easily remedied if you follow these simple steps. The first step may sound familiar; it is the last couple of steps that will really compound your results. What you will find, is that often it is the little things that make a big difference.

Step one - Research your topic and find 4 or 5 key points, make sure that this information relates specifically to the keywords you have chosen based on your products or services.
Step two - Write at least 5 articles on the information you have just researched. You can do this by approaching the topic from several different perspectives as well as simply writing in different formats. For example, you can tell a story, you can write a case study, you can make a list, you can talk about it from the perspective of the general audience, and you can talk about it from the perspective of a specific audience.

Step three - Repeat the above process two to five more times. By doing this, you continue to take advantage of your previous efforts, and you have only had to focus your mind one time. One of the main points of doing this is that you really become an expert on the topic. Not only are you an expert, but you now have plenty of original written material to create an information product. What can you do with this eBook? Have you heard of information products, or viral marketing?

If you start to use this process, you will quickly start to produce many times the numbers of articles, and get many times the return on your investment of time and effort. Isn't that what it is all about, getting more for less?

Dan Iverson can show you how to pick a topic of interest, write about it, and with a little research find connections between your readers and real products and services, of which you can become an affiliate and make money.

Internet Marketing Articles - Eaves Drop on a Private Conversation Between a Master and His Student

Internet article marketing continues to be one of most successful ways to help your customers find you and for you to build trust and confidence with these potential customers on the internet. There are some marketers that are generating so much traffic that they have to rethink their biggest dreams. It seems like many of my friends who once thought trying to make money online was crazy are now becoming more open to the potential of this opportunity.

The other day I had a friend of mine, who has been marketing online now for about a year, ask me how I am able to produce so many more articles and eBooks than he is in any given time period. He laughingly said, I know I am smarter than you, why is it that I seem to get so much less from my efforts? By the way, he is smarter than me.

Here is what I shared with him, and now you can benefit from it too. This information assumes that you already know the basics of Internet article marketing, like that your articles need to contain keyword focused content.

I told him; first I focus on a very closely related group of keywords on a topic, and do my research. I am looking for four to six important points of interest on my topic of choice that I can write down. These are going to be the focal points of my articles.

I told him that I never write one or two article on a topic at a time. I try to write at least 5 to 10 articles so I can take advantage of the momentum that I have generated from starting the process in the first place.

I explained that after I write my original block of articles, let's say 5, I go back again and find a new set of key points that adds to and expands my knowledge on the topic. I usually start to have insights that I didn't see before too. I am usually amazed at how interesting some of these topics are, and see how shallow most of the articles are that have been published.

After I have done this process 3 to 5 times over a several day period, I jokingly say that now I have my masters in that topic. It is at this point that I put together, or sometimes slightly reorganize all of the material that I have written on the topic into a free report, or decide if I want to take it to the next level and turn it into an information product like a podcast or an eBook.

By the end of the week when you 5 to 10 article written, I have 20+ and an information product or a report to use in whatever way I see fit. There you have it, the process that creates an avalanche instead of a shovel full of content.

Did I mention that once I have done this process, that for weeks and months afterwards, I can sit down with very little effort and write a 500 word article: thus not wasting any time while I am at the doctor's office, or while I am waiting on a movie to start. I do this whenever I want to turn wasted time into something productive.

He'll teach you how to better understand human nature as it relates to e-commerce; how people, from their perspective, come to make a purchase on the Internet. Internet Marketing Articles - I Have Never Told Anyone About This Before, This Is My Private System

Did I mention that I love Internet article marketing? Did I mention that I love audio downloads and eBooks? Did I mention that one of my favorite products on the planet is "Natural Reader?" I go crazy when I have to do a mundane task for any length of time. Are you wondering why any of this matters to you?

Whenever I can, I like to listen to audios and read eBooks of information to write Internet article marketing content about. Living in Atlanta, it is nothing to spend an hour or more a day in my car. One of my favorite things to do is to set my laptop on the seat next to me and open one of the new eBooks that one of the generous Internet marketers has just given me, or one of the ones that I have just bought. This is that part I have never talked about before.

This is where my favorite product in the world comes in. I highlight the first three to five pages of the book, and I press Ctrl + F9 and my Natural Reader software starts to read the first 5 pages of my book to me out loud. I may keep a little note pad handy, or have my digital recorder with me and when I hear a point that I think is important and valuable information, I make a note of it.

The next time I am at a light, or I might just pull over for a second, and highlight the next 5 pages of the book and let Natural Reader read those pages to me too. Hopefully, I will get another point or two that I think are important and make my notes. I am looking for 5 to 6 quality information points.

I now have enough content for 4 to 5 articles. When I get home a little later, I will sit down with my list of six or seven hot points, (this assumes I already know my keywords) and write my articles. I may go through this process a few times per eBook depending on how long it is, and how good it is. By good, I mean how much quality information it really has.

By the time I am done, I have 20 articles to distribute, a product review for my website, a free report to give that has only the important points, without the filler that I sorted through, and hundreds of new targeted customers dying to check out my website and learn more about my products and services.

Guess what, you can do this too.

Article Marketing: Stay-At-Home Mom Gets 100,000 article views From Just One Article Directory

Just when you are ready to give up article marketing forever... you find out that if you do just a little more, you can blow the roof off the top of your online business.

Let me guess, you have heard all about article marketing, and you have even submitted a few articles. Sure, five years ago that might have been a great way to drive traffic to your website, but it just doesn't work like that anymore. I mean, look at the 5 articles I have submitted, I have just passed 100 views, and only three people clicked through to my website.

That was a lot of work writing those articles, and it sure was not worth having only 3 people click through to my website. I am just going to go back to pay per click, at least I know I am getting some regular viewers to my site, and it only took me 15 minutes to set it up.

Does this sound familiar? It should, it represent 90 percent of the people who post articles on article directories. Let me share a little secret with you that might change your mind. You have to post more than 10 articles. One of the top article directories has said that 90 percent of all authors who publish in their directory never publish more than 9 articles.

I have to admit, I have published more than 50 articles, and there are days when I feel a little discouraged. Then I noticed this interesting statistic on another authors *Extended Author Bio.* Ezinearticles.com shows how many articles an author has posted and then it shows how many views they have gotten to date. Here is the first one I looked at: 465 Active articles, resulting in 50,335 views.

When I first read this, I thought it had to be a misprint. I mean, my best article today only has just over 90 views. Even if all of my articles finally ended up with 90 views, that would only be 4500. Then I thought that he has probably been publishing for 10 years. Nope, all of his articles had been published within the last three years. What? How can that be? Even if you multiply 4500 X 3, you only get 13,500. I thought that 13,000 was the absolute best I could ever hope for: boy was I wrong!

I decided to look into it further to see if there was some kind of mistake. I will admit, I had read that at some point when writing articles, you hit what they call, *critical mass.* They say that it is somewhere between 100 and 250 articles. Anyway, here are a few of the stats that I found with very little research:

1,130 Active articles, resulting in 670,296 views, Member since April 27, 2005
58 Active articles, resulting in 27,164 views, Member since March 24, 2005
45 Active articles, resulting in 13,449 views, Member since July 19, 2006
74 Active articles, resulting in 194,018 views, Member since October 27, 2004

After I found these, I decided to focus on authors that had around 200 articles, since that is around where they say you hit critical mass. Here is what I found just around the 200 articles published mark:

238 Active articles, resulting in 339,172 views, Member since June 28, 2005
233 Active articles, resulting in 30,740 views, Member since October 25, 2007
232 Active articles, resulting in 184,233 views, Member since November 01, 2005
231 Active articles, resulting in 57,886 views, Member since July 14, 2006
236 Active articles, resulting in 63,417 views, Member since December 06, 2005

At 200 articles, if you received 90 views each, which I thought was impossible until today, which comes out to 18,000 views per year. The longest time any of the authors over 200 has been publishing is 2.5 years. That means they should have, in a perfect world, 46,250 views max. Only one author has not blown that number out of the water, and he or she has only been publishing less than a year.

Now I have to admit, I had no idea that there was anywhere near this kind of potential. I pride myself on answering questions that you just can't seem to find the answers to anywhere else. This is one of those questions I have had for a while. Just give it to me straight, what can I expect? Well, here it is.

I didn't use any of the author's names, because this is not allowed on many directories. And remember, to see these numbers you do have to look at the extended author bios. If the author has not posted their picture and information about themselves, the directory doesn't setup an extended author page. This means you can't see these numbers on everyone.

I can tell you this, after looking at these findings, I am so motivated that I am taking the rest of the day off from my job to write articles. Looks like the first one to 200 articles wins see you there.

Article Marketing - How Stay-at-Home Moms Are getting Better Results By Improving Their Aim

For the moms that are trying to make money at home on the Internet, I think there is one point that cannot be stressed enough in article marketing. I know this will not be one of those articles that gets 50 views in the first couple of weeks, but I think that this is an important enough point that for those of you that take the time to read it, you will be better off for it.

The tendency is to consider everyone as a potential prospect for your product, service or business opportunity. I want to give you mothers that are either staying home trying to earn some money part time, or for those mothers that are trying to get something started so you don't have to keep working outside the home, some information that will have a surprisingly large impact on your marketing.

Simply stated, the more focused you can make your copy, articles and content; the more likely you will be to get the desired results. Let's look at it from your own perspective. If you were to look up all the articles in this directory on article marketing, you would have to decide between thousands of them. So, ask yourself, how would you decide which ones to read first?

The process that you would use is probably similar to the one most people would use. You would start to scroll down through the articles until one of the titles or descriptions struck a personal note with you or caught your eye. Can you think of anything that would catch your eye more than if your name was in the title?

Yes, that is a little extreme, but what if the title said, *5 Things that Make Article Marketing Easier for Stay-at-Home Moms. * If you were trying to determine whether or not article marketing was appropriate for you as a stay-at-home mom, you would probably pick this one over one that just said, *5 Reasons Article Marketing is effective. * Look at these in a list, and see which one stands out to you.

5 Things that Make Article Marketing Easier for Stay at Home Mom's

5 Reasons Article Marketing is effective

I think you can see which one would probably stand out more to the stay-at-home mom. The truth is that you may check it out even if one of the other titles better addresses what you are looking for just because it address you so specifically. The other side of that is even if you are not a stay-at-home mom, you would still read that article if you were interested in finding ways to make article marketing easier to do.

Even when you write to a very specific target audience, you not only get that audience, but you get the spillover. But if you are not specific, then you only get the spillover, because nothing makes you stand out enough to get any specific attention.

Article Marketing - Stay-at-Home Moms Give a Variety of Solutions and Then Identify the Best

Moms can use these techniques to help their customer first learn what their options are and then help them see which solution best fits their needs. This way when they get to the website or sales letter, they are already educated on the best benefits and features to look for. Of course you are not going to write about problems you don't have solutions for.

One of the most common mistakes that people just getting started with article marketing make, and one that every stay-at-home mom should really make an effort to avoid, is they write about the things that they think would be the most interesting to their potential customer. This alone is not enough.

The most effective method of writing articles is to understand the mindset of your customer. What does that mean, and how do you do that? Instead of thinking in general terms what might be important to a potential customer, you first need to identify specifically who the ideal customer is.

For example, if your ideal customer would be a stay-at-home mom trying to find ways to earn some of her own money, you might want to think about her motives for doing that. For example, some women before staying home to raise their children had good jobs and were use to having their own money.

They miss the independence they once felt from earning their own money. Maybe they just want the freedom to have and spend some money that they don't have to account for.

Another possibility might be that a woman is grateful that her husband has made it possible for her to stay home and she knows that he really hates his job, and as he is getting older, it is taking its toll on his body. In this case, maybe her motivation is that she wants to be able to develop an income that her and her husband can rely on so he can quit his job.

In either case, she may not have a lot of money to start something from home, so she will want to find something that she can begin to generate money through her own efforts rather than spending a lot of money on marketing.

Knowing these things about your ideal client, and making sure you address these issues when writing articles and copy, can help them feel better understood. Having their specific concerns being addressed makes it easier for them to be able to make a buying decision, or to feel comfortable to try and get more information.

You may have the best product or opportunity in the world, but if you don't talk about how its features and benefits specifically address the concerns of your ideal customer, you can't expect that they will easily make the connections themselves.

It is your job, in article marketing, to PREsell the potential customer by giving them information that is specific to them, their wants and needs, and to make the connections between the different solutions -- then help them identify which features and benefits will best satisfy their specific wants and needs. In other words, not talking about how a specific feature will help them make money, but talking about how the specific feature making them more money will help them regain the sense of independence they once felt, when they were making money on their own. See the difference? If you can do this they will want to get more details.

If you can do this, they are going to want to see your offer. You do this, and they are going to get excited about getting started because they know the sooner they get started, the sooner they can have that independence and freedom they so miss.

Article Marketing - Mom's Thrive Working From Home By Marketing Better

Every once in a while, you find another little gold nugget, that although small, may add significant value to your future. What does that mean? It means, that the more article marketing I do, the better I can see the clear path that you, as a marketer, should be trying to create so your customers can find you, and clearly be able to differentiate between you and your competition.

If nothing else, the fact that you have made the path so easy to find and follow, will get you business that others won't get because their prospects will lose their way before ever getting a chance to buy from them.

I am going to pick a product that is commonly sold through affiliate marketing to give you an example. For this example, you are selling web hosting. If you are an affiliate marketer, and your supplier has done their job, they have kept up with the changes and current demands of the customers of today.

For example, you may want to find a web hosting company that has *cpanel* as their control panel, and *fantastic-O* functionality. This is a combination that better supports WordPress templates and plug-ins. In this example, the web hosting company has already explained in their sales letter that they offer this service, and why they offer this service and how this differentiates them from their competition. But, most importantly, how this service impacts the buyer, and why it matters to them.

With those two pieces in place, this is how you make yourself out to be a genius in your article marketing. You write an article on how to get your blog better ranked in the search engines. You explain that first you have to find a hosting company that offers these items, and then you go on to explain how if they use this process with a WordPress theme template and the proper keywords, they can expect faster recognition and ranking by Google and the other search engines.

If a person is serious about wanting to improve their marketing they could have a link in their resource box. From there one could either get a more detailed report on how this process works, with examples of key words and ranking that they can currently check out for themselves.

There would also be a link to the affiliate page that you were given by the web hosting company. Or you could (less effectively) just put your url that is forwarded to the affiliate link in your resource box.

Article Marketing - This Just May be What the Stay-at-Home Mom is Looking For

It's not a secret. It isn't as if no one knows she is there. We even know that she controls over 50% of the purchasing decisions in her home. So why don't we spend more time talking to her? Asking her questions? Finding out what she needs and wants? Of course, I am talking about the stay-at- home mom.

I have known about you since my first introduction to home based business. I have read statistics about you and read articles written by you since I started looking around the Internet for ways to make money from home. Yet, since then, I have read thousands of emails, hundreds of sales letters and websites, and yet, you don't seem to be getting your due recognition.

When I first started interviewing women looking for home based business opportunities, you would tell me that you are on the Internet very regularly looking around at everything. You see all of these claims that you can make all of this money from home, but most of them are like a shell game.

They promise the world, they say all the right things, they get your interest, but they never seem to just come straight out and tell you what the business actually is. You tell me things like, *It usually turns out to be one of those pyramid schemes.* The truth is after a year or so, you have just about lost hope. Now it all sounds the same; it reminds you of the teacher's voice in the Charlie Brown classroom scenes. (whaa whaw whaa whaaaaw)

So what is the answer? Article marketing. When I was in grade school, I hated the girls the teacher put on my left and right to keep me out of trouble, because they had perfect handwriting. They would pass notes back and forth day after day. When we needed to write a book report, it was more like an art project. Their hand writing was so consistent and readable.

Since then, I have even read books about, and practiced my hand writing, and still my office manager will hand me a note, or my mother, and the hand writing is beautiful. So how does all this lead me to the conclusion that article marketing is the solution to your problem?

I think many women as girls were encouraged in there writing pursuits. They have a writing voice, the know how to express themselves and their not afraid to write. If you combine this with some of the opportunities that are opening up on the Internet, I think you have a good fit.

The truth is there is an information gap on the Internet. Thousands of searches come back without results every day. Even the guy whose writing was destined to be a doctor, and whose brain was destined to be a janitor is writing and making money on the internet. Thank God for spell check and grammar check -- did I mention the thesaurus button?

So start simple, go to blogspot.com and set up your blog. Then setup an account on this article directory. Then just start writing articles. Don't know what to write about? Start by writing about your frustrations of trying to find ways to make money from home online. Want to understand something on the Internet better, like SEO? Then write 50 articles about it, and soon you will be the expert that people will be looking to for advice. Go ahead, give it a try.

Article Marketing - Stay-at-Home Moms Need Flexibility When Trying to Make Money From Home

One of the things that I love about article marketing is that I can just leave my computer on, with a Microsoft Word document open and if lightning strikes, I can stop for a minute at my computer and jot down a couple of notes for later. Now you could just as easily do this with a note pad, it is definitely a matter of personal preference. The point is, don't let those moments of inspiration go unrecorded.

Here is the problem. You are home all day taking care of your children, but prior to this; you have always worked, and felt good about your financial contribution or just having your own money. It doesn't have to be much, but you just want to contribute something financially to the home or have a little spending money that you don't have to account for. Yes, you are completely covered up with all the demands of raising your children. Yes, you know this is the right choice to stay home with your children. But!

You want to have something of your own. You want to feel the satisfaction that even with all this; you are doing something that brings money into the home. You may not even completely understand it yourself. You just know that when you get these little breaks here and there, when you get to sit down in front of the computer, that there has to be a way that you can make some money. I mean, heck, there is only 7 billion ads on the Internet screaming that it's possible right.

I know you have tried a couple of things. The problem is that you can't schedule appointments. You just never know when the next crisis is going to begin: when one of the children is going to require your undivided attention. Heck, you can't even be sure, that when you do have a free moment, that you will have the energy to talk, much less conduct an appointment.

That is what is so great about article marketing. You contribute the time when you have it. No effort is ever wasted as long as you write it down. There are no deadlines, and everything you do will build on your previous work. And it doesn't cost anything to start. Here is an example.

An idea crossed your mind in the middle of making PB and J's. You walk over to the computer, lick off your finger, and write one or two sentences with no punctuation and then walk away.

Two hours and 38 minutes later, all of the kids have finally fallen asleep. You sit down at the computer and you punctuate your sentence and you start to expand on the idea. You look up a couple of websites that you had seen earlier in the week, and refresh your thinking on your idea and you actually get 3 paragraphs written. You hear the baby crying, you are off.

Next time you sit at the computer is two days later. The website and the article you started are still up, and you have to read it all again to get your brain started. About 10 minutes after that you are typing away, and 30 minutes after that you have added two more paragraphs and you now have 378 words. That is an article. You get up and go get a drink, come back and do your final proof read, submit it to your favorite directory. By the next morning, it is published, and you have had 13 people read it, and one of them went to visit your blog.

Article Marketing - Is Everyone a Candidate for Your Opportunity? You Have Missed the Point

Have you ever stopped and really thought about who your readers are? The more directly you write to the person who is reading your article, the more impact what you write is going to have on her. Let's assume for a moment, that you have thought about whom she is, have you thought about what is most important to her?

I see it again and again, article after article turns into a three to five hundred word ad on your topic of choice. So, who are you writing this article for again? There is one word that you should be thinking about every time you write an article. That word is, *PREsell.* If you don't know what that is, then you will find this information invaluable.

One of the most important considerations for every human being on earth before they buy something from another person is can they trust that person. Learning to establish that trust can be the difference between your voice blending into the noise and chatter of daily life, or you being a trusted advisor in your area of expertise. Understanding this is to understand PREsell.

When writing articles, PREselling is when you give something of value to a person before you try to sell them anything. Usually, what you give them is information on a topic that they are interested in. As an expert author, you share with them your value as a resource on a topic. You give them information that they either did not know, or that makes it clear to them that what you do know is beyond a conversational understanding, you have knowledge and expertise that they are looking for.

Why would you do this? You do this not to provide all the answers to their questions, but to help them get some of the answers that they are looking for, and to provide them a resource for getting fuller, more in-depth information. This is a win win. They are getting a chance to test drive your information and see if it meets their particular needs and interests, and you have a free platform (article directories) in which to show your expertise and build your credibility as well as find new prospects.

Let's say you are going to walk buy 100 people that are all trying to sell you something. As you walk buy each person they have 3 seconds to get your attention. So they say things like, look at me, buy from me, I have what you've been looking for, this one will make you sexy. Now they say these things in high voices, low voices, funny voices, and sad voices. The more of them you walk by, the more they all sound the same.

Now, when you walk by me I ask a question, *Did you know that an understanding of key words can be the foundation for all successful internet marketing?* Ask yourself, if you are interested in Internet marketing, who are you going to stop and talk to? Your article gives you a chance to put a specific message out there so that you find the people looking for the information, and just as importantly, they find you.

Article Marketing - Ideas For Content Are Only Twice As Wide As Everything And Four Times As Long

Ever feel like you are at a loss for content? I will be honest with you, I don't. Right now I am in the process of writing 100 articles on article marketing. But, I do find myself getting distracted. Sometimes, I think I will get bored and won't be able to finish, but I have found a few ways that helped me avoid these problems so far.

First of all, a lack of content ideas to me is just crazy. I sign up for everything I can put my name and email address in. I get two email's a day from Armand Morin about his new big release on the 18th. I get two emails a day from Max Steingart about his instant messenger lead conversion program. I get two emails a day from Sean Mize, the author pretty well known for his article marketing.

The point is that there is a wealth of topics and information out there and everyone is dying to tell you about theirs. I could pick any one of the names above or 50 other names, and write 10 articles just by going through their emails and talking about much of the content that they give away trying to educate and entice me.

Sticking with one topic long enough to write a hundred articles about it is a first for me. There is a lot of really good information out there. For example, I recently listened to Christopher's audios created from over 40 questions from authors just like you and me. Christopher is the publisher of ezine article dot com, in case you did not know. He gives you 5 different formats with which you could write 5 different articles about the same subject matter.

In addition, he explains how you can look at the same topic from many different perspectives. I can write about article sets from the writer's perspective. I can write about them from the reader's perspective. I could even write about them from the article directories perspective. With the same basic information, I have just pounded out 3 or 4 more articles on a topic I am focused on, so all I have to do is reorganize things a little and follow the inspiration.

Finally, I can write about how article marketing relates to any topic in the world. Then I could write an article on how I would use article marketing to promote that topic. I could write about the process I would use to prepare, write and submit articles. Then I could write about what I would do with the articles after that, each one using a different product, service, interest, as they relate to their key words. And each would be an article that would help people in those areas.

The point is, once you have picked a topic, you can think about how it fits into, impacts, relates to, avoids and loves, what it would be like on vacation, what it would be like at a park. All you have to do is just put it in a different box depending on something that influences or inspires you. Then you have a unique and new article on the topic. Simple, right?
