Article Marketing - What is it? Part II

So let's see if we can tie some of this together. It starts with the Internet, a huge amount of data indexed by words spread all over the world, but tied together through one medium. Then you have a goal, to make money finding people who want something you are trying to sell.

To accomplish this, you implement a strategy (Article Marketing). You do this to gain the attention of a specific group of people, only people interested in a specific set of topics. By providing them information for free, you are offering them a trade. They get the information they are trying to learn about and in the process they give you an audience to place your products or services in front of. We are betting that these people are predisposed to buy these products or services based on their interest in this information.

Let me try to explain it another way. The Internet has provided us access to millions of people interested in acquiring information. And by providing information specific to a particular subject or topic through article marketing, we know that the group of people created by their interest in this information are or may be interested in buying certain products or services.

So, article marketing is utilizing the tracking and research of key words used by people on the Internet to find specific information they are looking for. And through that research identifying these groups of people based on their interests in particular topics or subjects. You are trying to gain access or get this groups attention by writing articles using these specific key words that will be indexed and presented to these people through search engines. This is the tool they use to sort through all the information on the Internet to find specific information needed by or relevant to them.

So instead of paying to post an ad somewhere, there is enough traffic that you might be able to attract the interest of a segment of that traffic and get them to come to you for a product or service. You research the history of key words used by people on the Internet through search engines to create information for these people and publish it in places that the search engines have previously determined as places where information being published is of satisfactory quality for their customers, the search engine users. You want to give your article priority listing, a listing on the first page of results provided to the searchers.

Now you have information created and published to fulfill a specific need found through researching previous demands for key words, published in a place with the greatest likelihood to be found, to get the attention of the people who are looking, so you can let them know that you sell a product or service they are likely to be interested in buying. Boy I am glad we cleared that up...
